Strategy
The Fund's objective is to achieve optimal long-term capital growth through active management of a portfolio of large-capitalisation stocks based primarily in North America.
The investment strategy is based on fundamental analysis. The stock selection process is based in particular on the activities of the companies, their governance, financial structure and development perspectives. The fund aims above all to identify companies with dominant positions, with a significant reinvestment capacity and low levels of gearing.
The recommended investment period is 5 years. The reference currency is the US Dollar.
Markets
Following the American elections’ outcome, a priori term capital growth through an active
favorable to the local economy, the American management of a portfolio of large-capitalisation markets had a good month, with the S&P 500 up stocks based primarily in North America. +5.73%, the Nasdaq 100 up +5.23%, and the Dow Jones Industrials up +7.54%.
Sector wise, the Automobile Manufacturers Sector was up strongly at +34.55% (thanks, Tesla), while the Gold Sector lost -7.70%.
The Fund
FFM American Growth ended the month (31.10.2024 - 27.11.2024) up +4.20%, slightly
underperforming the indices over the same period, with the S&P 500 up +5.14%, the Nasdaq 100 up +4.29%, and the Dow Jones Industrials up +7.08%.
The monthly top three consisted of Vertiv Holdings (+16.75%), Amazon (+11.53%), and
Sherwin-Williams (+10.98%). On the other side, we find Taiwan Semi (-3.09%), Analog Devices (-2.27%), and Alphabet (-1.26%).
During the month, we exited Adobe and Crowdstrike and reinvest in Palo Alto Networks
and Meta.
